Signal | en

you should get the AUDIO + VIDEO signal into your computer, so it can be sent to the pianoforte.best studio software over Chrome browser for the streaming.

Video-Signal

Camera Option 1: EXTREMELY SIMPEL! Direct LogIn over Chrome Browser INSIDE the cell phone software. Definitely needed: audio microphone equipment to plug into the cell phone USB3 [as Zoom H5 Studio – to be tested]. Otherwise separate input of video and audio line as in Camera option 2.

Camera Option 2: Cell Phone as HD Video Camera (if your phone has this optical quality).

For your phone, purchase the NDI HX Camera app for approximately €20 @ https://play.google.com/store/search?q=ndi+hx+camera&c=apps&hl=de and install it.

This turns your phone into a studio camera, eliminating the need to buy a separate camera.

Download NDI tools from https://ndi.video (free software, registration of a free account required).

Install NDI tools and select the NDI Webcam program (see video below). [Your phone and computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network!]

Then you can integrate all NDI features to the stream:

Camera Option 3: via Capture Card
Take any HD or 4K camera with HDMI or USB capture card to the computer, e.g., MiraCard; do NOT use cheap capture cards, which often have terrible audio quality. MiraCard and most Cards under 100 € are having audio problems like rustle, so that you might only use the video signal from them and have a good separate audio signal from a good microphone.

Mira-Card or Treslin Card

The ONLY Capture Cards I really recommend which also give a perfect audio signal over HDMI (or SDI) are from BlackmagicDesign.com , two versions outside or inside the computer (click the pic):

or otherwise the best solution (click the pic):

Audio-Signal

  1. Cell phone microphone
    • as direct Login with chrome browser in cell phone the own microphone sounds terrible since there seems to be only auto-regulation of level and no influence on it – see video above
    • as part of the NDI-HX-Camera the cell phone microphone seems to work properly with in its limitations as in video above
  2. Microphone with USB-entry into computer
  3. Microphone over Audio Mixer with USB exit
    • the t.bone USB 1X – if you have any microphone with XLR plug you can put it into the USB port of your computer with an adapter of this kind
  • Any Microphone over Audio Mixer with USB exit for example:

Roland GO:MIXER Studio

Here you can start with two mics for the stereo channels and build up more and more. One of the smallest mixers which go to the computer via USB as an example.

2. Microphone with USB to PC/Mac

The Idea

Pianists are always looking for concert opportunities. Being hired externally is, of course, ideal! But reality is often different.

Concert halls cost money to rent, advertising is expensive, and classical music audiences are widely scattered, usually only numerous in large cities.

With our new online concert series, we solve most of these problems and bring pianists and a global audience together!

Thanks to sophisticated live streaming technology with the world market leader Vimeo, location is no longer a major factor; the pianist can play at home on their own grand piano. The world’s time zones are served in three segments: Western, Europe, and Eastern.

By having pianists—starting no later than the date of their own concert—help recruit a few contacts for each performance via the website https://www.pianoforte.best, a vast social network of listeners quickly emerges, growing virally into a high-caliber community of pianists. In this way, an ever-increasing number of pianists and listeners can share their passion for the piano!

Application

  • Apply as a pianist by sending an email to pianist[AT]pianoforte.best with the following information:
    • Pianist diploma
    • URL of your website
    • URL of your YouTube channel
    • Your program proposal (60 minutes including breaks between pieces)
      • The program should have a theme: “Early Bach,” “Chopin’s Miniatures,” “Pure Romanticism,” “Music from Beyond”
      • Your request for three dates with the same program from our Google Calendar, one of each:
        • Western Globe (UTC-5) – indicate No. 1
        • Europe (UTC+1) – indicate No. 2
        • Eastern Globe (UTC+8) – indicate No. 3
      • Your confirmation that you agree to the terms and conditions and payment terms below
      • Your confirmation that your three concerts will automatically qualify you for the akw – alternativer festival without any further participation fees If you would like to participate in the piano competition,

Terms and Conditions:

  • By participating, you assign your rights to the image and sound to the DoctorsDome.center | Wolfgang Ellenberger association,
    • including further multimedia use of the material.
    • At the same time, you receive the rights to use the material independently and free of charge.
  • You confirm your own registration and the proactive recruitment of subscribers via your global email distribution list during the period between the previous concert date and your scheduled concert date.
  • You agree to payment via your PayPal account, which you can set up free of charge if necessary.
  • Fee:
    • We would like to pay you a fair fee.
    • In the initial phase, we primarily need pianists as active musicians and audience members who pay €25 per year.
    • With 1,500 subscribers, we can pay you approximately €1,800 for a weekend with three one-hour concerts.
    • The higher the number of subscribers, the more this will be.
    • Therefore, it makes sense for you to recruit subscribers in general!
    • Until we reach that stage, you will receive 60% of the revenue generated between the concert preceding yours and your scheduled date; this arrangement is designed to incentivize you to leverage your global email distribution list to generate maximum publicity among subscribers for your concert. In return for this commitment, you will have the honor of having contributed to the founding of the portal—as well as the opportunity to perform here again in the future, likely for a significantly higher fee.
    • This arrangement corresponds to the standard profit-sharing model between an artist and their management.
    • Your fee will be paid out to your PayPal account immediately following the concert.
    • We hope for your cooperation so that pianists can participate in the success of the pianist portal with a single subscription for €25 per year.

If you are already able to successfully log in via the Chrome browser—using this example link—with a camera (at least HD resolution) and a high-quality audio source for piano recording, then you are already perfectly prepared from a technical standpoint:
